The team, based in King of Prussia, Pa., includes three members of the Strid family: father Gerald Strid and sons Erik and Paul Strid. The trio is joined by Nathan Hayward and Thomas Greco. While at Wells Fargo Advisors, the team was known as Strid Wealth Management Group.
The elder Mr. Strid has been involved in the brokerage industry for more than four decades, working at Merrill Lynch for nearly 20 years before joining Wells Fargo Advisors in 2003, according to Financial Industry Regulatory Authority records. Both his sons also joined Wells Fargo in 2003.
A spokeswoman for Wells Fargo Advisors did not immediately return requests for comment.
One of a handful of high-profile destinations for advisers who break from the major brokerages, Dynasty was started in 2010. It provides independent adviser teams with access to a platform for trading, clearing, research and other support services. While it does offer financing options for advisers setting up their own firms, it does not own the firms and the advisers are not employees of Dynasty.
Dynasty has 20 firms managing 26 offices across the U.S. with 63 advisers and roughly $20 billion in assets under advisement.
